Atlas Messenger is a real-time messaging platform built as part of a development case study. This policy outlines how user data is collected, handled, and deleted, ensuring transparency regarding our data storage methods and security limitations.

Please note that Atlas Messenger is NOT an end-to-end encrypted messaging platform. All sent and received messages, files, and user records are stored directly in their database representation without end-to-end encryption.

Do not use this platform to share sensitive personal information, credentials, financial details, or any other confidential data.

3. Data We Collect

To provide core real-time messaging and user identification functionalities, the application collects:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture (if provided), and password hashes.
  • Message Content: Text messages, timestamps, and attachments sent between users.
  • Metadata: Device connection state and push notification tokens.

4. Account Deletion Policy

We respect your right to control your personal data. You have the right to request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated messages, files, and account information from our systems.

How to Request Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all data associated with it, please send an email request directly to:

Please send the email using the account address you used to register on Atlas Messenger. Your request will be processed, and all personal records and message history will be permanently deleted from our database within 5 business days.

5. Changes to this Policy

As Atlas Messenger is currently in testing and development phases, this policy may receive updates to match system enhancements. We advise users to review this page periodically.
